Hello September!

Today marks the 14th anniversary of the 2001 terror attack. Please take a moment to remember those who lost their lives and loved ones on this day.

This is an exciting and busy month at OCCA as we are getting ready for our Mid-Autumn Festival, Run for OCCA, OCCA's Got Talent, press release, fund raising, website updates.... and the list goes on.

And this could be a busy month, as well, for those of us who have school-age children and just finally settling into the new schedule for the rest of the year. September goes by fast every year, which is why I always find myself rushing to getting my mooncakes from the Asian Market and decorating the house to boost the mood at the last minute. So this year, I plan to do them a little earlier... will do it this weekend!

To help everyone starts thinking and getting into the mood for the Mid-Autumn Festival, Li Mei found this beautiful poem and video to share with you today. By the way, if you are all about DIY when comes to food, make sure you check out our last post on the mooncake receipe contributed by our local talented homecook chef. And if you have anything you'd like to share and help the community to get into the mooncake mood, please feel free to shoot us an email.

Enjoy!
