About Us
Omaha Chinese Culture Association (OCCA) is a non-profit organization. It was founded by local Chinese and Chinese-Americans, in conjunction with the Chinese language schools, Chinese Student and Scholar Associations from University of Nebraska at Omaha, University of Nebraska Medical Center, Creighton University, and Bellevue University. The main purpose of the association is to maintain social contacts and to promote cultural and educational functions of the Chinese community in greater Omaha Area.
Mission
The mission of the Omaha Chinese Culture Association (OCCA) is to promote Chinese culture and to provide educational services to its members and to the greater Omaha community. It aims to promote cultural diversity, friendship, and enrichment in the local community through cultural and educational events.
Events and Programs
Cultural events:
We sponsor and/or collaborate with other organizations to organize events featuring Chinese performing arts, art exhibitions, workshops, and Chinese festival celebrations, to raise the awareness of Chinese Culture to the community.
Language and Cultural programs:
We arrange Chinese educational and language programs to enhance the knowledge and appreciation of Chinese culture.
We offer private or group Chinese language and cultural education courses, taught by experienced native-speaking instructors at all levels.
